The world is experiencing the widespread of an epidemic that is known as Covid-19, mental health concerns are rising but it is in less priority of many. This epidemic is more than just a medical emergency, as it affects the emotional state of society, causing anxiety, chaos, stigma, and stress, actions of every individual contribute to the progress of this issue. As everyone is commanded to lockdown themselves at home for their health and safety, action for mental health must take place. Self-isolation is likely to have a detrimental effect on one's mental health. It can deteriorate due to separation from loved ones, boredom, loss of freedom, and uncertainty. Everyone especially the children are suffering from emotional change as they can be situated in a surrounding that is different and can affect their health. Parents and children have different ways of responding to stress in this current situation, as children can suffer from short or long term effects on their mental health and it can be only observed by their behaviors.

“Most of everyone suffered from stigmatization as they faced various acceptance from the other people, they sensed that they were different.” - Javed et al.

However, in order to prevent the COVID19 pandemic, it is essential to provide a thorough understanding of the impact of the recent epidemic on the mental health of people of various ages. Covid-19 is far from sickness we all know as it is something we have never dealt with before and it is really difficult to handle as our moves are limited. It takes a simple ingenuity and willingness of doing something in order for our mental health not to be affected. There is nothing much you can do in this situation so doing something can do so.

“Maintain a straightforward approach. Avoid succumbing to fright and panic. Take it one day at a time and concentrate on what you can do rather than what you can’t. Keep healthy by using common sense. Keep your mind occupied throughout these times, but do not overwork yourself.”- Beyond Blue

Despite the fact that we are physically separated, we restrain together as one. Continue to provide assistance and suggestions about the ways to pass the time during quarantine, know how to give hope and be optimistic. Surviving this is the same as surpassing disaster and conflicts. Don’t be discouraged, but do display some concern. Enhance your inner self and the others you care for. We should all work together to transform these bad things into positive ones and master the art of meditation.
